Secondbrain: Introducing rich media previews on your bookmarks
![]() |
Dear hectorarturoThank you for being a registered user on Secondbrain. In this newsletter we're announcing a much more refined and useful bookmarking upgrade for our users. Get rich media previews on your bookmarks!
At last's week deployment, we silently enabled rich media previews on bookmarks from a lot of different sites. Our friends from Nordaaker opened up their api to help us recognize a lot of different content types, and we are now providing rich media previews on the following services: 5Min.com, blip.tv, Break, Bubblare, Channelfrederator, Collegehumor, Comedycentral, Current.com, CNET TV, Dagbladet, Dailymotion, Flickr, Funny Or Die, Gametrailers, Glumbert, Gofish, Heggle, Koreus, Liveleak, Livevideo, Metacafe, Nettavisen Video, Redlasso, Revver, Rutube, Slideshare, Spike, Snutter, Southparkstudios, Ted, Theonion, Tubearoo, Twitter, Veoh, Viddler, Google Video, Yahoo, Video, Myspace, Vids, Vimeo, Youtube Earlier, on Secondbrain you could only get the reach media previews when you had an account on one of the services we supported and a Secondbrain account. With the new improvemed bookmarklet, you can bookmark content from any of these new sites, and you will get a much improved preview without just an account on Secondbrain! Want proof? Here is a little video! Featured usersWe are so happy to welcome new users to our community, (we just counted our 11,000 member!), and it's exiting to see the many ways that people take advantage of Secondbrain:
BartCollet is from Belgium and is interested in web 2.0, opensource and mobile technology. He's got an awesome collection of lifehacks that is worth checking out!Community BuildingAs you can see, we continue to add incremental features and services that add function and fun for our great people at Secondbrain. Much of this process is about you, our community, the heart of what is becoming a thriving library of content derived totally from your efforts. If you would like to have your say in this process, head over to our support community at Get Satisfaction and let us know what's on your mind! This week, The Secondbrain Team is starting on the product roadmap for the fall. The focus is to expand on the features we already have and make Secondbrain more social and more about discovering content. We have lots of exiting features in the pipeline and cannot wait to introduce it to you. Always thinking, |
